 is located in Yamagata prefecture in Japan where every city,town and village has at the least one onsen(hot 

spring).Throughout the O-u Mountain Ranges,slicing the region from north to south.The hot spring experience in Yamagata is a synthesis of breathtaking scenery,historical townscapes,and the seasonal of beauty of nature.

After a 45-minute drive from the JR Yonezawa Station,you are deep in the Azuma Mountains.The last 20 minutes of the drive take you through a series of hairpin curves leading to parking lot at the top of the mountain.From there ,walk down a steep mountain path for 15~20 minutes.as you cross a suspension bridge,you'll see the red roof of TAKIMIYA appear finally.To reach here must be especially gratifying after such a trip.

Takimiya lies on the banks of the Mogami River.and it stands besides the Kaen Waterfall,headwaters of the Mogami River.The origin of the hot spring dates back over ten hundred years With a total of 3 springs,the spa is blessed with bountiful amounts of mineral water.The hot springs mineral content is primarily pure sulfur,and the water is colorless and clear,and has a faint sulfur smell.It contains elements that soften Karatin proteins,and is said to be good for skin diseases.
Furthermore,the hot spring water is soft on the skin,and gives a moist,relvety feel to the skin.In addition,sulfur springs act to widen the capilaries and thus improve blood circulation.It is effective for an inflammation of the stomach
 burns,skin deseases,rheumatism,neuralgia,sore neck,back pain,beriberi diseases,bronchitis,adult illnesses,sterility,anemia,hemorrhoids,cuts,etc..a wide variety of illnesses,and if drunken,acts to detoxify poisons.
